Sourdough Starter- Day 1

There is a wonderful sandwich in my future.  It is made with delicious sourdough bread – freshly baked by me.  I shall be eating this in about 5 days.  I must start today, however.  If I delay another moment I will be 6 days out from eating this sandwich, and I cannot wait that long.  Time to make the starter.

My task today is to fill a large mason jar with:

1 1/3 cups (6 oz.) Unbleached Bread Flour

1 1/4 cups (6 oz.) Whole Wheat Flour

1 1/2 cups (12 oz ) Distilled Water

I’ll mix it around and then put a lid on it.  Then I shall wait.  I shall wait for 24 hours to be exact.  Tune in tomorrow to see the continuation of … The Starter!
